Brenda Crim
Executive Director
Since January 2010 

The executive director establishes the vision, strategy and resource management for Alaska Missions and Retreats.  Crim's  visionary leadership and strategic focus sets the pace for the staff and volunteers.  She establishes mission partnerships with churches and individuals across the USA.   Brenda has been a missionary in Alaska since January 5, 2005, and founded Alaska Missions in 2010. 

Her passions lie in the evangelistic mission to reach Alaska, and in the restoration of the people of the land, the Alaskans.  She regularly meets with new believers to spur them to maturity, and tool them to move through past issues that hijack their choices and their walk with Christ

​Kim Hayes  
Native Ministry
​Since 2016

This amazing young woman is  an elementary music teacher, vocal virtuosa, and manages our fleet of vans & trailers.  

Kim has a strong passion for bush ministry, as well. She makes spontaneous trips to travel to Bush villages to visit her Alaskan families in Nome and Elim. 

We cherish our musical- mechanical -tenderhearted missionary.

Chance Alexander 
Executive Chef
​Since January 2022

​Chance joined Alaska Missions & Retreats in 2022 and serves as the Executive Chef, overseeing all food, meals, and kitchen logistics for mission projects across the state. From early morning breakfast to late-night s’mores by the fire, he makes sure volunteers and guests are well fed and feel cared for.
Originally from Louisiana, Chance has been married to his wife April since 1996. Together they have two amazing kids, Will and Madalyn. Alaska Missions is a true family effort for the Alexanders—April and the kids are always by Chance’s side, helping prep, cook, serve, and clean. Whether it’s chopping vegetables, running food, or offering a warm welcome, they work as a team to make each mealtime special. Faith plays a big role in Chance’s life and purpose.
He sees his calling not just in the food, but in the opportunity to serve others and show God’s love through hospitality. Whether he’s preparing meals for hundreds or jumping in to solve last-minute kitchen challenges, Chance brings energy, joy, and heart to it all. He feels most alive when cooking for people, serving alongside mission teams, and spending time on the Kenai River chasing salmon. He’s grateful every day to be part of the Alaska Missions family.
