Man Camp

Men's Mission and Retreat

Week One: Saturday August 2nd - Friday August 8th
Week Two: Saturday August 9th - Friday August 15th
Join us on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska for a week of fellowship, men's ministry, and FISHING THE KENAI RIVER!   Bring your men's group to team build -- the week will be infused with men's leadership, Bible study, mission projects and fishing the world famous Kenai River.  

COST $1150 -  Which covers food, lodging, and local transportation (licenses and guided fishing will be an additional cost).

FLIGHTS:  Book/pay for your own flights into Kenai Airport; you will be picked up at baggage claim curbside OR book into Anchorage and drive 3 hours to Kenai. 
 
LODGING : 7 nights at our 48-bed Mission Center. 44424 Kalifornsky Beach Road, Soldotna, AK 99669

Van:  Your team will have vans or other transportation appropriate to your team size. 

MEALS:  Most meals are included starting with breakfast Sunday morning. 

Walk-in Fishing:  Bring your own BREATHABLE CHEST WADERS / boots  & hooded rain coat

Fishing Gear:
We supply Rod & Reel, small tackle box with hooks, sinkers, swivels
Bring your own 9"filet knife, stringer, and fisherman's pliers.

SUGGESTED SCHEDULE:
Day 1 - Arrive in Anchorage early afternoon, drive 3 hours to Kenai
   OR  - Fly into Kenai Airport after 10 am 
Day 2 - Orientation - Walk-in Fishing / service project / Speaker @ Dinner 
Day 3 - 
Charter Halibut Fishing (optional) / Dutch Treat Dinner at a Homer restaurant
Day 4 - Walk-in Fishing / service project  ​/ hike/ SPEAKER @ dinner
Day 5 - Walk-in Fishing / service project / Speaker @ Dinner
Day 6 - Walk-in Fishing / service project  ​/ hike/ SPEAKER @ dinner
Day 7 - 
Depart Soldotna in evening fly out of Kenai or 3 hour drive to Anchorage and fly late evening.

​BRING These Items: Fishing Gear 

Breathable Chest Waders
  • AVOID the HEAVY neoprene waders
  • AVOID waders with built-in boot 
  • No felt-bottomed wader boots per Alaska law. 
  • Recommend lightweight, breathable waders with neoprene sock; boots sold separately. ​
