BRENDA CRIM - Executive Director
Feet FIRST Missions
IF we get your feet, we get your heart... .. people pray, give and GO when we have their hearts. ---Brenda Crim JUMP IN FEET FIRST in MISSIONS |
In her 18th year in Alaska, Brenda is working at establishing legacy for Alaska Missions. During her tenure, she modeled and established several outreach projects, such as Iditarod Outreach, Kenai Sports Camp, Salmon Frenzy, Fishing with a Mission, and Nome Women's Conference.
In the Bering Strait region, Brenda led gospel expeditions to penetrate further into remote regions, bringing transformational ministries to address the critical needs of the region. Her discipleship model includes identity restoration from brokenness stemming from child abuse, alcoholism and suicide. Backstory.... In college, while a varsity volleyball player at Texas A&M University, Brenda's life profoundly changed course when she met Jesus through the witness of a converted Jewish rabbi. She continued to grow through the ministries of FCA and Baptist Collegiate Ministry. The first time she led someone to Christ, she touched her evangelistic calling and knew she would spend her life helping people know Christ. Brenda earned an Mdiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She staffed Baptist Collegiate Ministry from 1983 -2005 on campuses in Texas & Louisiana. A North American Mission Board missionary since 2005, Brenda began to capture the energy and human resource of short-term teams to Alaska. With limited resources elsewhere, she strategically engages teams to spur revival and restoration in Alaska. In 2010, Brenda Crim and the board of directors founded the 501(c)3 organization, Alaska Missions and Retreats, to mobilize teams to the Last Frontier, when NAMB mission board funding began to defund all missionaries in Alaska . The new organization has flourished and continues to grow in its impact and footprint in Alaska. ~~~~~~~~~~~ In fall & winter months, Brenda is available to speak at churches in the lower 48, and would love to meet your church family to develop mission partnerships explore opportunities for your church to get involved in Alaska Missions. |
